I am leaving in two weeks for Tokyo to update Frommer’s Tokyo. While by most counts Tokyo is back up and running (though voluntary energy conservation remains high, especially with the coming humid summer), the area hit by the tsunami north in Tohoku is still struggling with the massive aftermath.
The photos here show better than words the work that still needs to be done.
